Where does Ballerina fit in the John Wick timeline?
The official FAQ places Ballerina chronologically between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. That placement connects Eve’s story to the series’ established events without making the film a sequel that follows Chapter 4.
Can you watch Ballerina without seeing John Wick?

What did Ana de Armas and the filmmakers say about the role?
In an Associated Press interview published June 5, 2025, de Armas said of taking on an action role, “I never thought I was going to do action.” Director Len Wiseman acknowledged the stakes of the lead role, saying, “There’s a lot of pressure,”. Producer Chad Stahelski praised qualities he saw in her performance: “I know that I can harden people up. I know I can make them the assassin, but getting the charm and the love and the humor out of someone is trickier. But she had it.” These are the filmmakers’ and actor’s own assessments, not measures of audience response.
