America’s Next Top Hitmaker ran for a second listed year in 2025, following its 2024 competition. But the official pages available as of October 4, 2026, do not confirm that a new edition is open now. The 2025 rules remain useful for understanding how the competition worked, who could enter and what its prize package included.
Is America’s Next Top Hitmaker open now?
Not on the evidence of the competition’s official pages available as of October 4, 2026. The official homepage lists Duplexity as the 2024 champion and Mars Rodriguez as the 2025 champion, but does not say that 2026 applications are open. The published rules are for the 2025 edition, so their dates and terms should not be treated as a current application calendar.
The “second year” framing refers to the 2025 edition: the homepage names champions for 2024 and 2025. No rules or prize terms for a later edition are established by those pages.
Who could enter under the 2025 rules?
The 2025 competition was open to musical artists and acts, including vocalists, instrumentalists, bands and DJs. Every act member had to be at least 13 and a legal resident of the United States or Canada, excluding Quebec. The rules also imposed other eligibility restrictions; entrants would need to consult the full 2025 official rules for them.

What did a 2025 entry require?
Entrants had to complete the official form and submit at least one qualifying photograph and at least one music sample or related audio or video material. Qualifying social-platform links could also be used. The entrant had to appear in the submitted materials, and the rules prohibited AI-generated submissions: “Submitted Materials shall not be AI-generated.”
The rules did not require a particular recording setup or a new recording. A qualifying existing sample or link could be used; a microphone or other equipment was optional, not an entry requirement.

How did voting and advancement work?
The operator selected which entrants would compete and grouped them into rounds. Public voting determined advancement and the winner through the listed stages. A voter could cast one free vote every 24 hours after eligibility verification. Voters aged 18 or older could make donations to cast additional votes, but payment was not required to enter or win.
The rules disallowed automated votes. Suspected manipulation could lead to voter bans or participant disqualification, and ties in a round were to be resolved by profile views. The operator also reserved broad discretion over eligibility and administration.

The rules said donations made for additional votes went to DTCare, which grants them onward to the designated grantee after competition fees and variable costs. The rules described a cap on variable costs and a nominal percentage retained by DTCare.
