Victor Garber plays David Woodrow Randolph in “Clone,” alongside Guy Burnet as John Hunter. The episode is cataloged as Season 3, episode 6 by FX and Disney+, rather than Season 4; the title’s Season 4 wording does not match those listings.

Why is “Clone” called Season 3 in some listings?
FX lists “Clone” as episode 6 of the series’ third installment, and Disney+ labels it Season 3, episode 6. The Season 4 wording in this guide’s original title differs from those catalog labels; it should not be read as FX’s official season numbering. The episode reference listing gives its premiere date as October 15, 2024. Episode credits listing · Disney+ episode catalog
What happens in “Clone”?
FX’s spoiler-light synopsis describes a tech billionaire who, after a debilitating accident, assigns a robotic clone to temporarily replace him—“or at least that was his plan.” That premise places the episode’s horror in the gap between a substitute’s intended role and what may follow. FX describes American Horror Stories as a spin-off of American Horror Story, with each episode telling a different horror story. FX Networks
