Amanda Seyfried said a vintage Dior Haute Couture gown began coming apart at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. In a People interview published in March 2025, she recalled that it opened while she was talking and joking with Glen Powell, who covered her. Seyfried summed up the moment: “My boobs fell out of my dress at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards.”

Seyfried described the gown as “kind of sewn together” and said it was already falling apart on the red carpet. Later, as she spoke and joked with Powell near her table, she lifted her arms and the dress came apart. “We both screamed, and like the gentleman he is, he covered me,” she recalled, according to Us Weekly’s account of the People interview: Us Weekly.
The gown and the award
Seyfried identified what she wore as a vintage Dior Haute Couture gown. The reports do not name its season or exact model, so the description cannot be narrowed further from the available accounts.
