This gallery records arrivals at the 2020 Australian Cricket Awards in Melbourne. PerthNow published it on 10 February 2020, before the ceremony results were known.
What the gallery covers
PerthNow introduced the photo gallery with: “Here’s how they arrived in Melbourne.” Its captions identify players and guests arriving for the awards night, with photographs credited in the source to Scott Barbour/AAP and to Twitter or Instagram. The gallery is a record of that 2020 event, not a current awards-night roundup.
Who appears in the arrival captions
The gallery captions identify David Warner and Candice; Marcus Stoinis and his partner; AJ Tye and Bonnie; Glenn Maxwell and Vini Raman; Shaun Marsh and Rebecca; Steve Smith and Dani; Nathan Lyon and Emma McCarthy; Nathan Coulter-Nile and Shani; Pat Cummins and Becky Boston; Usman Khawaja and Rachel; James Pattinson and Kayla; Peter Siddle and Anna Weatherlake; Jason Behrendorff and Juvelle; Marcus Harris and Cat; Matthew Wade and Julia; Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc; and Marnus Labuschagne and Rebekah. These names and relationships follow the gallery captions rather than independent identification.
The preview’s contenders and the eventual results
Before the ceremony
The gallery preview framed Pat Cummins as a favourite for a consecutive Allan Border Medal and Alyssa Healy as a contender for a consecutive Belinda Clark Award. It also reported Healy’s 2020-season tally as 1,112 runs at an average of 55.6. Those details describe the preview’s pre-ceremony context, not the winners or a current record.
