The list also separates the nine main Shopaholic novels from standalone fiction, children’s and YA books, and short work—so you can either follow her career chronologically or start directly with Becky Bloomwood.
How the list is organized
Sophie Kinsella and Madeleine Wickham are the same author: Kinsella’s official biography identifies The Tennis Party as her first novel and connects both names. The first seven books below appeared under the Wickham byline; the first Shopaholic book under Kinsella followed in 2000. See the official biography.

The checklist follows year-level order in a broad bibliography. Where two titles share a year, the order shown follows that bibliography; exact day-by-day precedence is not established. Title variants reflect regional editions, not extra books.

Finding Audrey is dated 2014 in the official biography and 2015 in the bibliography used for the broader chronology. Because those sources conflict, its exact year is unresolved here. Its placement in the list is not intended to establish a definitive day-level order relative to other 2014–15 titles.

Shopaholic books in series order
For Becky Bloomwood’s main story, read the nine numbered novels in this order. Penguin Random House’s Shopaholic series catalogue identifies the series entries.
- The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic / Confessions of a Shopaholic (2000)
- Shopaholic Abroad / Shopaholic Takes Manhattan (2001)
- Shopaholic Ties the Knot (2002)
- Shopaholic & Sister (2004)
- Shopaholic & Baby (2007)
- Mini Shopaholic (2010)
- Shopaholic to the Stars (2014)
- Shopaholic to the Rescue (2015)
- Christmas Shopaholic (2019)
Shopaholic on Honeymoon is an additional 2014 novella, not a tenth full-length series novel. Read it after Shopaholic to the Stars and before Shopaholic to the Rescue; that position follows the broad bibliography’s placement, rather than a numbered slot in the publisher’s series catalogue.

Where to begin
- For the complete career path: start with The Tennis Party and follow the chronological checklist, including the Wickham novels.
- For Becky Bloomwood: start with The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic or its US title, Confessions of a Shopaholic, then follow the nine-book series order.
- For a standalone: choose any title labeled standalone in the checklist; those books are listed separately from the Shopaholic sequence.
- For younger readers: Finding Audrey is the young-adult novel, while the Fairy books are children’s fiction.
Short works and anthologies
A bibliography also lists Six Geese A-Laying (2011) among short stories and novellas. Its formal category is not confirmed by the sources available here, so it is safest to treat it as a short work rather than definitively calling it a novella.
12 Days: A Modern Twist on The Twelve Days of Christmas (2000), Girls’ Night In (2004), and The Virago Book of the Joy of Shopping (2007) are listed as anthologies. They are collections with contributions, not additional novels in this checklist.
