The Facehugger bucket was one of several distinct theater merchandise designs. The Direct’s August 16, 2024 comparison distinguishes the AMC item from the other creature-themed products:
| Retailer | Design described in 2024 coverage | How it differs from AMC’s Facehugger bucket |
|---|---|---|
| AMC | Regular aluminum popcorn bucket with a plastic Facehugger attached to the side. | The named Facehugger bucket; the creature is attached to a conventional vessel. |
| Cinemark | Xenomorph-head bucket with a flippable lid and popcorn stored in the back of the head. | The Xenomorph head forms the container, rather than a Facehugger being attached to a standard bucket. |
| Regal | Xenomorph-head bucket with an open maw and a more conventional cylindrical base; Regal also had a separate Facehugger collectible. | Both the Xenomorph-head bucket and Regal’s separate Facehugger item are different products from AMC’s bucket. |
The comparison describes the merchandise reported around the 2024 release, not present-day stock or condition. For launch-period context, ComingSoon’s August 1, 2024 preview covered the announced AMC, Cinemark, and Regal collectibles before the film opened.
