Netflix has not announced a fourth season of Alice in Borderland. The finale does leave room for more: its closing scene moves to the United States, where a waitress wears a name tag reading “Alice.” Netflix Tudum describes that as an implication that the games may be heading overseas—not confirmation that Season 4 is in production.
Has Netflix confirmed Alice in Borderland Season 4?
No. In Netflix Tudum’s October 3, 2025, Season 3 ending explainer, Megan Vick wrote: “There’s no word yet on a fourth season of the series.” The explainer does not announce a renewal, cast, production schedule, or release date. Read Netflix Tudum’s ending explainer.
That is the latest official Season 4 status statement in the sources cited here, not a guarantee that the status has stayed unchanged. A future renewal would need to be established by a newer announcement; until then, there is no confirmed Season 4.
What is the catch in the Season 3 finale?
Arisu and Usagi’s story reaches a resolution
The finale brings Arisu and Usagi back to the real world. Netflix Tudum says Usagi chooses to live after a vision of her father, and the survivors return to safety; Ryuji is the exception.

The closing scene plants a separate story hook
The final scene shifts to the United States and shows a waitress with “Alice” on her name tag. Tudum says the scene implies that the games could extend overseas. It offers a possible direction for a continuation, but a plot possibility is not evidence that Netflix has ordered another season.
Does “The Final Card” mean Season 3 was officially the last?
Netflix’s Season 3 promotional material called the season “The Final Card,” described its story as original, and announced a worldwide release date of September 25, 2025. “The Final Card” was campaign language; by itself, it is not a formal cancellation announcement. Netflix’s ending explainer subsequently said there was no word yet on a fourth season. See Netflix’s Season 3 announcement.
There is also secondary reporting to distinguish from an official renewal or cancellation. In November 2025, What’s on Netflix reported that a Netflix Geeked social post called Season 3 the “final season,” while describing future plans as unclear. The report also said director Shinsuke Sato would be interested in returning if asked. That conditional interest is not confirmation of a project, and the report is not a formal Netflix Season 4 order or cancellation. Read What’s on Netflix’s report.
TV Insider likewise characterized a possible American continuation as speculation, not a confirmed plan. Read TV Insider’s coverage.
What is known about Season 3—and what it does not tell us
Netflix announced the Season 3 renewal on September 27, 2023. That announcement confirms that the series was renewed for Season 3 at the time; it says nothing about a fourth season. Season 3 later arrived worldwide on September 25, 2025. Neither milestone establishes what Netflix will do next. Netflix’s 2023 renewal announcement.
Netflix describes the live-action series as based on Haro Aso’s manga, while its Season 3 promotion calls the season’s story original. The manga and its sequel, Alice in Borderland Retry, are available in English through VIZ, but reading them is not evidence that Netflix plans to adapt further material.
