How does “Wish” relate to the Beach Boys?
Jardine was one of the Beach Boys’ founding members. Disney’s March 26, 2024 press release says the band formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961, with Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, Mike Love, and Jardine. Those band-history facts provide context, but they do not establish that Brian Wilson wrote, performed on, or approved “Wish.”
Disney announced that its documentary The Beach Boys would stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning May 24, 2024. The release describes new interviews with Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Jardine, David Marks, Bruce Johnston, and other music figures, alongside archival contributions from Carl and Dennis Wilson. Disney+ availability can vary by territory and may have changed since the announcement, so check the service in your region.
