Spoilers for the first two episodes of Agatha All Along. The premiere begins with Agatha Harkness trapped in a false identity, then turns toward a new goal: gathering witches to seek the Witches’ Road. A suspicious goth Teen helps break her out of the spell, but Agatha is powerless when she emerges.
Episode 1: Agatha is trapped in a detective story
The series opens as if Agatha Harkness were a police detective investigating a case in Westview. That identity and the procedural setup are a delusion, not the start of a separate crime drama. At the end of WandaVision, Wanda left Agatha caught in a spell; the distorted detective persona is how that spell confines her.
A suspicious goth Teen disrupts the illusion and helps free Agatha. Disney+ describes the premise this way: “The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself powerless after a suspicious goth Teen breaks her free from a distorted spell.” The crucial catch is that escaping the false identity does not restore Agatha’s power: she is powerless as the story moves beyond the spell.
Episode 2: Agatha sets out for the Witches’ Road
With the detective delusion behind her, Agatha’s attention shifts to a new objective: reaching the Witches’ Road. Episode 2, titled “Circle Sewn With Fate / Unlock Thy Hidden Gate,” moves the story from Agatha’s escape toward assembling a coven for that journey.

Apple TV’s episode listing sums up the setup: “As old enemies pursue them, Agatha and Teen gather a desperate coven of witches to walk the Witches’ Road to get what they need.” The road quest gives the first two episodes their forward momentum: Agatha needs a group of witches, and the pursuit by old enemies makes the gathering urgent.
