Spoilers for Agatha All Along: Episode 4, officially titled “If I Can’t Reach You / Let My Song Teach You,” puts Alice’s family history at the center of a fire trial—and brings Rio Vidal back to the coven.
What happens in Agatha All Along episode 4?
After the water trial, Alice and Teen bury Sharon Davis. Agatha urges the coven to keep moving, but the witches believe the Road’s next trial requires a Green Witch. They try to summon one. Instead of getting the help Agatha wants, they draw Rio Vidal out of Sharon’s grave.
Rio joins the traveling coven, much to Agatha’s dismay. Their uneasy reunion follows the group into a house that Alice is reluctant to enter. Once inside, the place transforms into a 1970s recording studio, bringing Alice’s late mother, Lorna Wu, into the story.
Who is the new Green Witch?
Rio Vidal is the Green Witch summoned to accompany the coven. Her return is personal as well as practical: she and Agatha share a history of betrayal that becomes clear in their private conversation, though the episode does not explain everything between them.

In a sound booth, Rio and Agatha discuss betrayal. The other witches overhear them. The moment makes the coven’s new traveling arrangement uneasy, even as Rio’s presence answers the group’s need for a Green Witch.
What is Alice’s trial?
The house turns into a recording studio tied to Alice’s mother, Lorna Wu, a famous witch musician. Alice’s trial is shaped by her family history and the generational curse that has followed her. Teen plays a record backward, activating the curse and setting the room ablaze.

As the coven is scorched, Alice protects the others with a magic circle. The witches then work out that Lorna’s popular cover of “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” was more than a song: within the episode’s fictional rules, it served as a protective spell for Alice, sustained by its continued playback.
The coven performs the song together. The curse takes the form of a winged demon, and the witches break it as a group. The music is both a clue to Lorna’s protection and the means by which the coven confronts the trial. For listeners interested in the real-world music release, the official Music From Agatha All Along 1-LP soundtrack collection includes selected songs and score, including “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road.” It is a soundtrack release, not the fictional record shown in the episode.

What happens to Teen?
Teen collapses from an injury he sustained during the trial. After the group gets out, Jen heals him. He then asks Agatha about the sigil affecting him. Agatha says she does not know who cast it and explains that a witch can forget a sigil they have cast.
That answer does not settle the mystery. The episode leaves the sigil’s caster unidentified, while Teen’s injury and the question of what the sigil means remain unresolved.
