What Adele said at her final Munich show
At the final show of her Munich residency on August 31, 2024, Adele told the audience she had ten Las Vegas shows left. “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” she said. “It has been amazing. I just need a rest.” She also said she had spent the previous seven years building a new life and wanted time to live it. Good Morning America and the Los Angeles Times reported her remarks.

The ten remaining dates were part of Weekends with Adele at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. At the time of her Munich announcement, the residency was scheduled to conclude on November 23, 2024.
Her break plans were already taking shape in July
In a July 2024 interview with German broadcaster ZDF, Adele said she had no plans for new music and wanted a substantial break after her residencies. “I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while,” she said. She also said: “I don’t have any plans for new music, at all.” These were her intentions at that time, not a current release schedule. The Los Angeles Times covered the interview.

What she said at the Las Vegas finale
Adele’s final Las Vegas show took place on November 23, 2024, and was her 100th performance in the residency, according to the Los Angeles Times. She told the audience, “I don’t know when I next want to perform again,” while reassuring them: “Of course I’ll be back.”

Her remarks describe a long break, not a confirmed retirement. Adele has said she intends to step away from performing, and the cited coverage gives no return date. Her promise to come back does not establish when she will perform again or whether she has plans for new music.
