Released through Columbia Records on June 6, 2025, the 12-track album includes four previously announced singles and cover photography by Ethan James Green.
What Rae announced—and when
Rae revealed the album title and artwork on April 23, 2025, setting a June 6 release date through Columbia Records. The album has since been released; Rae’s official website now labels it “Out Now.” Sony Music Canada’s announcement and release notice document the announcement and release.
In the statement reported by Rolling Stone Australia on April 24, 2025, Rae described the self-titled project as “A mirror” and said it represented a desire to understand herself better. She also called it a collection of her proudest work and praised the cover and collaborators.
Who created the cover?
Ethan James Green photographed the cover. The label credits Dame Pat McGrath with makeup, assisted by Jenna Kuchera; Lucas Wilson with hair styling; and Mei with nails. The announcement refers to fashion creatives working on the visuals but does not provide a complete art-direction or cover-design credit list.

Rae’s “A mirror” comment offers her own description of the project’s personal framing. The announcement does not establish a more specific symbolic meaning for the cover.

The announcement had already identified “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” and “Headphones On” as singles. It said Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd produced those tracks and co-wrote every song on the album with Rae. The later release notice credits Tove Burman as an additional writer on “Headphones On.”
In its April announcement, Sony Music Canada quoted Rolling Stone describing the album-era tracks as “hypnotic, trance-like pop songs, pulsating and lush.” That is Rolling Stone’s characterization, not Rae’s description.

What physical editions were announced?
At announcement, Sony Music Canada listed several physical options. The June release notice confirmed CD and black vinyl, the Urban Outfitters magenta-vinyl exclusive, and additional U.S. store options. The official store’s product pages give packaging details for its CD and black-vinyl editions:
