What happened to Adam Harrison?
The Associated Press reported on January 20, 2024, that a family spokesperson had confirmed Adam’s death and described it at the time as a suspected drug overdose. The spokesperson said the substance was not known then. The AP’s report also said the family asked for privacy as it grieved.

On March 1, 2024, the Los Angeles Times reported the later findings from the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner: Adam died on January 19 in Las Vegas from fentanyl and methamphetamine toxicity, and the manner of death was ruled an accident. That report provides the specific toxicology and manner of death, which were not established in the initial January account.
What did Rick Harrison say about his son?
Rick Harrison posted a short memorial on Instagram: “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam 💔.” The wording was reproduced by the Los Angeles Times. In a separate statement reported by the paper, Rick said Adam died from a fentanyl overdose and expressed his view that the fentanyl crisis should be taken more seriously. His comments about the crisis and border policy were his opinions, not findings of the coroner.

The family’s statement, released through spokesperson Laura Herlovich and quoted by the AP, said: “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”

No. Adam was Rick Harrison’s son, but contemporaneous reports said he was not featured on Pawn Stars. The Associated Press and CBS News both made that distinction. CBS News’ report also reproduced Rick’s memorial.
