What the tour was named for
AC/DC says the tour takes its name from Power Up, the band’s 2020 studio album. In the 2025 announcement, the band said the album had reached number one in 21 countries. The same announcement called the tour a 21-date run and reported that AC/DC had sold over 200 million albums worldwide and that Back In Black had sold 50 million copies globally. Those are figures and rankings reported by AC/DC, not independently audited figures established here. The band also described Back In Black as the bestselling album by any band and third bestselling album by any artist; those rankings should likewise be understood as the band’s claims at announcement time.
