AC/DC opened the U.S. leg of its PWR/UP Tour on April 10, 2025, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, with “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It).” Rolling Stone reported that the band played the same 21-song set it had taken to European stadiums the year before.
What song did AC/DC open with in Minneapolis?
The opening song was “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It),” according to Rolling Stone’s April 12, 2025 report on the concert. The show at U.S. Bank Stadium marked the start of the band’s 2025 U.S. tour leg, not the beginning of its overall touring activity.
When did AC/DC’s 2025 U.S. tour start?
The U.S. leg began in Minneapolis on April 10, 2025. Rolling Stone described it as AC/DC’s first U.S. tour since 2016. The event is in the past; this account is not an announcement of current or upcoming dates.
What album is “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” on?
The song is associated with AC/DC’s 1979 studio album Highway to Hell. The band’s official music archive lists it with that album. This is distinct from the separately named live release If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It).

What is known about the Minneapolis setlist?
Rolling Stone reported a 21-song set, the same set AC/DC had played at European stadiums in 2024. Its account characterizes the program as a mix of classic hits, two songs from 2020’s Power Up, and one from Stiff Upper Lip. The cited report does not reproduce all 21 titles, so it does not establish a complete song-by-song setlist.
Why was the opening song notable?
Rolling Stone’s account says the song had left AC/DC’s live repertoire after original singer Bon Scott died in 1980, and that Brian Johnson did not sing it until a 2003 performance at New York’s Roseland Ballroom. That history gives the Minneapolis opener added significance, while the tour report identifies the song as part of the 1979 Highway to Hell album.

Is the “If You Want Blood” demo the same recording?
No. AC/DC’s official Bonfire page separately lists “If You Want Blood You Got It – Demo.” That bonus demo entry should not be confused with the album association of “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” on Highway to Hell or with the song reported as the Minneapolis concert opener.
