The classic villain in the headline is Catwoman: indexed coverage reported that Absolute Batman introduced its reimagined version in issue #13. The reveal is no longer upcoming; it was reported in July 2025.
Which classic villain did Absolute Batman add?
The headline points to Absolute Catwoman, according to a search-indexed listing of CBR coverage dated July 16, 2025. That listing says writer Scott Snyder shared a behind-the-scenes look at the character and that she would appear in Absolute Batman #13. The identification comes from the indexed report, not a directly verified official DC announcement. IMDb’s indexed news listing

The reveal is historical: issue #13 was the reported introduction, rather than a future addition. Coverage described the design as animalistic and full-body, with a mirrored dome over the upper part of her face. That is a secondary description of the concept art, not a direct quote from Snyder or DC. Indexed coverage of the reveal
How to read the issue
Readers can look for issue #13 as a single issue or find it in Absolute Batman Volume 2: Abomination, which is listed as collecting issues #7–14. The volume therefore includes the Catwoman issue; a 2025 solicitation listing identified hardcover and softcover editions. Those listings do not establish current stock, prices, or edition quality, so check a retailer’s live listing before choosing a format. Volume 2 solicitation details

Don’t confuse the reveal with the Penguin’s debut
Later coverage treats Catwoman as part of Absolute Batman‘s established rogues gallery. A September 2026 overview identifies issue #21 as the Penguin’s first official appearance in this continuity. That is a separate, later milestone—not the villain meant by the 2025 Catwoman headline. 2026 overview of Absolute Batman’s villains
