What happened in the season-five finale?
ABC Press identifies “Ava & Fest / Miami” as the season-five finale, with an original air date (OAD) of April 22, 2026. ABC’s series listing labels episode 22 “Miami” and describes the Abbott crew as being in Miami for PECSA weekend; that listing displays April 23, 2026. The press release’s April 22 OAD is the date to use for the original broadcast. ABC’s season-five episode guide and ABC Press’ finale listing provide those details.
That official description establishes the Miami setting and PECSA-weekend setup, but it does not establish further story outcomes. It is not enough to claim a particular cliffhanger or character resolution.
