Aaron Paul’s former Los Feliz home, the historic Seyler House, sold for $7.495 million on October 6, 2026, according to Realtor.com’s report based on property records. That is below its initial July 2025 asking price of just under $10 million and its later asking price of around $8.2 million. The house’s architecture and reported Hollywood connections made for a compelling story, but the sale price alone cannot show that either feature justified the original ask.
What happened to Aaron Paul’s Los Feliz house?
The Seyler House, on Aberdeen Avenue in Los Feliz, was listed in July 2025 for just under $10 million. Realtor.com reported that the asking price was reduced to around $8.2 million in January 2026, before the property sold for $7.495 million on October 6, 2026. The sale was reported as based on property records.
| Milestone | Price |
|---|---|
| Paul bought the home from Jim Parsons in 2019 | $6.95 million, reported by Architectural Digest and Mansion Global |
| Initial listing, July 2025 | Just under $10 million, reported by Realtor.com |
| Reduced asking price, January 2026 | Around $8.2 million, reported by Realtor.com |
| Reported sale, October 6, 2026 | $7.495 million, reported by Realtor.com |
The reported sale price was $2.5 million below a rounded $10 million benchmark, but the original ask was just under $10 million, not exactly $10 million. The final figure was also below the later asking price. These comparisons describe the listing’s price path; they do not explain why the buyer and seller settled on that price.
Why was the Seyler House notable?
A century-old Spanish Revival home
Architectural Digest and Mansion Global describe the Seyler House as a Spanish-style or Spanish Colonial Revival home built in 1922 and designed by architect Stiles O. Clements. The roughly 4,000-square-foot house is reported to have barrel-vaulted ceilings, original beams, arched doorways, stained glass, a loggia, French doors, and terracotta accents. Paul engaged Commune Design to update the interiors while preserving original details, according to Architectural Digest.

Landscaped grounds and outdoor features
The property sits on about 1.5 acres near Griffith Park, according to Architectural Digest and Mansion Global. Listing descriptions highlighted a pool, cold plunge, koi pond, fire pit, amphitheater, terraces, and patios. Those features help explain the home’s appeal as a private residence, but the available accounts do not provide an appraisal or comparable-sales analysis showing how much they contributed to its asking or sale price.
Who lived in the house before Aaron Paul?
Paul bought the property from Jim Parsons in 2019 for $6.95 million, according to Architectural Digest and Mansion Global. Published accounts also name Robert Pattinson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Robert Luketic, Noah Wyle, Robert Richardson, and Tim Curry among reported former occupants. The lists differ among accounts, so they should be read as reported residents rather than a complete, independently verified ownership history. Realtor.com also identified Pattinson, Parsons, Wyle, Curry, Richardson, and Abdul-Jabbar in its sale report.

Mansion Global quoted Paul calling Aberdeen “a home with a deep soul” and saying its original finishes remained intact, reflecting the respect its owners had shown the space. The same publication recounted an anecdote from a 1998 Architectural Digest interview with Tim Curry: Curry said a prospective buyer withdrew from escrow after a psychic reportedly told her the house was haunted. That is a story Curry recounted, not evidence that the house is haunted.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the Hollywood history justify the original asking price?
The reported architecture, preserved period details, grounds, and association with well-known residents give the Seyler House a distinctive narrative. They help explain why the property attracted attention, but the available reporting does not establish that these qualities objectively justified an asking price just under $10 million. No relevant market statistic, appraisal, or independent valuation study is cited in the accounts. The documented result is narrower: after a price reduction, the house sold for $7.495 million in October 2026.
