When and where was the 2024 AACTA red carpet?
The main AACTA Awards ceremony took place at HOTA (Home of the Arts) on the Gold Coast on Saturday, February 10, 2024. It was part of the inaugural AACTA Festival, which ran February 8–11. AACTA’s festival announcement placed the red carpet on the Saturday; arrivals for the separate industry awards on February 8 should not be confused with this ceremony.
AACTA’s official event announcement named Rebel Wilson as host and listed Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett and Ron Howard among the high-profile attendees. Its official gallery also records arrivals including Elsa Pataky and Teresa Palmer, alongside casts from Australian screen productions.

Margot Robbie in silver
ELLE Australia described Robbie’s gown as silver and credited it to Vivienne Westwood’s SS98 collection. That is ELLE’s identification of the dress, rather than an independent authentication. Robbie received the AACTA Trailblazer Award, with Cate Blanchett presenting it, according to AACTA’s gallery.

How to read the red-carpet coverage
The reporting supports a few useful visual groupings rather than a definitive “best dressed” list: light-reflective silver and white looks from Robbie and Yeow; dark tailoring from Baker and Gadsby; and the brighter colour of Harvie’s pink dress. That is an editorial way to compare the described outfits, not an official award or consensus. For exact garment details, distinguish a publication’s explicit designer credit from a photo caption that only describes what an outfit looks like.
