His former Hidden Hills compound—the YOLO Estate—was sold in 2022, while a Beverly Hills Post Office estate he bought that year was still reported unsold and listed in May 2026. Published accounts document these major residences, not every address he has ever occupied.

Where does Drake live now?
The Embassy in Toronto
The Embassy, in Toronto’s Bridle Path, is the strongest documented answer to where Drake lives. Architectural Digest’s April 2020 feature describes a 50,000-square-foot home designed by Canadian architect and interior designer Ferris Rafauli. It is not simply a conventional mansion: Rafauli framed it as a contemporary take on Beaux-Arts architecture, with interiors drawing on modern Art Deco. Limestone, bronze, exotic woods, and bespoke finishes shape the design.
The scale is part of the architecture, not just the amenities. Architectural Digest reported a 44-foot-high great room, an indoor pool, a regulation-size indoor basketball court, and a custom Bösendorfer grand piano. Drake told the magazine he wanted the house to last: “Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel.” Architectural Digest’s 2020 feature documents the completed residence; Velvet Ropes reports it appeared on the magazine’s May 2020 cover.

The project’s earlier planning figures describe a different stage. Velvet Ropes says Drake’s plans went before a North York committee in May 2016 and received unanimous approval on May 26 after zoning exceptions. That account describes a planned 17-metre height and a 44-by-94-foot basement basketball court. Those planning details should not be confused with Architectural Digest’s later description of the completed home.
What was Drake’s YOLO Estate?
A Hidden Hills compound, not just one house
Drake bought the original Hidden Hills property in 2012 for a reported $7.7 million, according to Realtor.com’s 2022 sale report. He later acquired two neighboring houses, creating a three-property compound. The main residence, called the YOLO Estate, was described by Realtor.com as a 12,500-square-foot English Tudor on three acres.

Realtor.com’s account lists a pool, spa grotto, swim-up bar, waterfalls, and a rock waterslide, alongside a theater, game room, massage room, wine cellar, equestrian facilities, tennis courts, volleyball court, and mechanical bull. These are reported features from the 2022 coverage, rather than an independent inspection. The compound’s showpiece recreational spaces suited a very different setting from the formal, city-neighborhood presence of The Embassy.
Did Drake sell it?
Yes. Realtor.com reported that Matthew Stafford bought the two neighboring homes for $11 million in April 2022, and the YOLO mansion sold for $12 million in June. The reported combined sale total for the three Hidden Hills properties was $23 million. These are historical transaction figures, not current valuations. Velvet Ropes dates Drake’s time at the compound from 2012 to 2022.

What happened to Drake’s Beverly Hills-area mansion?
Acquired in 2022, later offered for sale
The estate is above Benedict Canyon in the Beverly Hills Post Office area. Despite its Beverly Hills postal address, Velvet Ropes says it is within the City of Los Angeles. The property was built in 2001 for Guess co-founder Armand Marciano and later owned by Robbie Williams before Drake acquired it in spring 2022 through an entity the report identifies as 11Kip, LLC.
Velvet Ropes’ timeline says Drake listed it in May 2023 for $88 million, relisted it at that price in May 2024, and offered it for rent in January 2025 at $250,000 per month. In its September 2026 update, the outlet relayed Yahoo Finance reporting that the property remained unsold and was asking $79 million on Zillow in May 2026. That same update says the assessor roll still showed the 2022 purchase as the latest ownership change. Listing and ownership status can change, so the May 2026 status is a dated report, not a guarantee that the estate remains available now.

How the homes differ
The residences mark distinct periods and settings rather than a single, continuous property story:
- Forest Hill: a rented family home in Toronto, remembered through reporting on Drake’s teenage years.
- Hidden Hills: a gated California compound with English Tudor styling and an extensive set of leisure amenities; it was sold in 2022.
- The Embassy: a purpose-built Toronto estate whose monumental scale and bespoke design connect it to Drake’s hometown.
- Beverly Hills Post Office: a canyon-side Los Angeles estate acquired in 2022 and reported listed in May 2026.
The comparison also requires care with the numbers. Architectural Digest’s 50,000-square-foot figure describes The Embassy; Realtor.com’s 12,500-square-foot figure describes the YOLO main house, not the whole three-property compound. Sale prices for Hidden Hills are past transactions, whereas the Beverly Hills figure was an asking price reported for a particular month.

What can be established about Drake’s early home?
GQ’s July 2013 profile says Drake and his mother rented the first floor and basement of a house in Toronto’s Forest Hill area. Complex later described a Degrassi: Unscripted clip in which Drake tours his mother’s home and shows the basement room where he lived as a teenager. That evidence supports a neighborhood and a rented portion of a house—not ownership by Drake or a confirmed exact address.
Is this every house Drake has called home?
No published account cited here establishes a complete list of every home, temporary residence, or privately held address. The documented record supports the teenage Forest Hill rental, the Hidden Hills compound, The Embassy, and the Beverly Hills Post Office estate. It is more accurate to call these Drake’s major documented homes than to claim they are literally every place he has lived.
