A Killer Paradox is an eight-episode Korean thriller about Lee Tang, an ordinary young man whose first accidental killing draws him into a widening pursuit by detective Jang Nan-gam. Released globally on Netflix on February 9, 2024, the series adapts Kkomabi’s webtoon and turns its murder mystery into a question about justice, guilt and who gets to decide what justice looks like.
What is A Killer Paradox about?
Lee Tang, played by Choi Woo-shik, becomes the focus of a cat-and-mouse pursuit after an accidental killing leads to further deaths. Detective Jang Nan-gam, played by Son Suk-ku, investigates as the consequences widen, while Song Chon, played by Lee Hee-jun, becomes part of the escalating conflict. Netflix’s announcement described the premise as “What happens when a man accidentally murders a serial killer?”
The series builds its tension around an unresolved moral question. Netflix Tudum asks whether Tang is “serving justice — or evading it?” That is the story’s framing dilemma, not a simple endorsement of vigilantism.
How many episodes are in Season 1?
The first season has eight episodes. Netflix’s official episode guide traces the story from Tang’s first killing and the investigation through the expanding pursuit and a final confrontation. The series is listed as a 2024 TV-MA thriller.

Is A Killer Paradox based on a webtoon?
Yes. The series adapts Kkomabi’s webtoon. The official WEBTOON episode page credits Kkomabi as creator and labels the digital series Mature (18+). Readers looking for a physical edition should note that the identified book is Korean-language: retailers list a print edition under ISBN 9791192005317. These listings do not establish that an English print edition exists.
Season 1 ending: what happens?
Spoilers for the final episode. Netflix’s episode guide describes a final confrontation and says Nan-gam learns the truth about his father. That information adds a personal dimension to the detective’s pursuit, while the season’s larger question—whether Tang is serving justice or evading it—remains the lens through which the show invites viewers to consider his actions.
