The first Prova do Fazendeiro of A Fazenda 16 paired a team contest of giant human foosball with a final cash-ball draw. The team that scored more goals advanced, then its five members each selected a gold ball; the contestant whose ball held the largest prize became the season’s first Fazendeiro.
How the first challenge was set up
In its September 18, 2024 preview, Record announced ten contestants eligible for the challenge: Babi Muniz, Fernanda Campos, Flor Fernandez, Flora Cruz, Gilson Oliveira, Julia Simoura, Juninho Bill, Vanessa Carvalho, Raquel Brito and Zé Love. They were to be split into two teams by drawing lots. Adriane Galisteu presented the challenge, which the broadcaster announced for live transmission at 22:30 in Brazil.
Record described the game as “pebolim gigante” — giant foosball — and said the contestants would have to become footballers in the oversized game. The format was human foosball, not a claim that the contestants played a conventional tabletop match. The preview did not identify the apparatus’s manufacturer. Record’s official preview described the contestants as having to “se transformar em jogadores de futebol de um pebolim gigante.”
How the two stages worked
Stage 1: A team goal-scoring game
The contestants played in two teams, with team assignments determined by a draw. Under the announced rule, the team that scored more goals moved on. Record’s September 19 recap confirmed the draw-based teams and the giant pebolim format, describing the contest as requiring agility and luck.

Stage 2: A cash-prize selection
The five people on the winning team then selected from five gold balls containing cash prizes. The contestant whose ball contained the largest prize was to become the first Fazendeiro of the season. That meant the challenge combined a team result with a chance-based final selection; winning the team game alone did not determine which member would earn the title.
What the published coverage establishes
Record’s September 18 preview laid out the announced rules, and its September 19 recap confirmed the basic game format and team draw. The two reports do not state the goal totals, the individual cash-ball values or a full play-by-play, so those details cannot be established from this coverage.
