Loren tells Faith he has an STI in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Season 7, Episode 5, “Brave New World.” TLC’s official clip description says he had not been monogamous and contracted an STI from another partner; it does not identify the infection.

What does Loren tell Faith?

TLC’s official clip is titled “Loren Tells Faith He Has an STI.” Its description says Loren tells Faith he has not been monogamous and contracted an STI from another partner. The scene is identified as Season 7, Episode 5, “Brave New World.” TLC’s official clip and episode listing do not name the infection, so claims that specify a diagnosis go beyond what the official description establishes.

Why do headlines call it an STD?

“STD” appears in some coverage and headline phrasing about Loren and Faith not being able to kiss. The official TLC clip uses “STI.” The terms overlap in everyday use, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention increasingly uses “STI” because an infection can be present without symptoms; “disease” can imply symptoms or resulting illness. Neither term, by itself, identifies a particular infection. CDC’s STI overview explains the distinction.

What the scene does—and does not—establish

The clip description presents the disclosure as a relationship revelation: Loren says he was not monogamous and contracted an STI from another partner. It does not establish the infection’s name, symptoms, test results, treatment, or what happened afterward. Gonorrhea is discussed in general sexual-health guidance, but there is no basis here to say that it is Loren’s diagnosis.

What to know if a partner says they have an STI

This reality-TV scene is not a medical record or a guide to a viewer’s personal care. CDC advises people whose partner has an STI or symptoms to speak with a healthcare provider about testing. The appropriate tests depend on the infection and exposure: for gonorrhea, testing may use urine, with throat or rectal swabs depending on the kinds of sexual contact. CDC’s “About Gonorrhea” guidance says gonorrhea can affect the genitals, rectum, and throat, and many infections have no symptoms.

CDC states, “Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can be treated.” Its public guidance, published January 31, 2025, explains that appropriate treatment can cure gonorrhea. Anyone diagnosed should follow a healthcare provider’s treatment instructions, avoid sex until both partners have completed treatment and symptoms are gone, wait seven days after completing medicine, and arrange recommended retesting. These are general recommendations, not claims about what Loren or Faith did.

How condoms fit into prevention

Using condoms correctly every time lowers the chance of gonorrhea, according to CDC guidance. Condoms reduce risk; they are not treatment and should not be understood as eliminating all risk. CDC’s STI prevention guidance covers condom use and other ways to reduce risk.
