Kenneth Choi, who plays Chimney, told TV Insider that “even such a joyous, happy, loving occasion will most likely be fraught with conflict, obstacles, and probably some trauma, too,” adding that this was in keeping with the characters’ history. Showrunner Tim Minear described the wedding episode as the couple’s longer relationship arc “in miniature”: outside forces repeatedly separate them before they find their way back to each other.
