The guide page was not accessible for verification, however, so its full list, ordering and ranking criteria cannot be confirmed here. What can be established is why the 2025 film is the guide’s focal point: it won the Cannes Grand Prix and centers on a family reunion shaped by a filmmaker’s attempted comeback.
What does “79 NEON movies ranked” mean?

What is Sentimental Value about?
Joachim Trier’s Norwegian-language 2025 feature follows sisters Nora and Agnes as they reconnect with their estranged father, Gustav, a once-renowned film director. Gustav hopes to return to filmmaking and offers Nora, a stage actress, a role in his planned comeback. When she declines, he gives the part to a young Hollywood star, drawing that actor into the family’s complicated relationships. This spoiler-light account follows the Festival de Cannes synopsis.
