The rest of this watchlist broadens the mood and format: it includes a comedy, an anime, an adjacent early-medieval drama, and a film that follows The Last Kingdom.
Start with the Viking sagas
1. Vikings
Begin here for the saga of Ragnar Lothbrok and his family. It is the starting point for the television universe that continues in Vikings: Valhalla: Netflix’s Media Center describes Valhalla as based on Vikings, created by Michael Hirst. Netflix Media Center.
2. Vikings: Valhalla
This is the direct follow-up if you want another generation in the same television universe. Netflix describes the story as taking place about a century after Vikings and lists three seasons. Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla page.
3. The Last Kingdom
For Viking-era conflict told from the perspective of England’s kingdoms, follow Uhtred, a Saxon raised by Vikings. Netflix’s synopsis places him amid Alfred the Great’s defense against Norse invaders; the series is based on Bernard Cornwell’s The Saxon Stories. 4. Norsemen
Pick this when you want comedy rather than another serious saga. Netflix Tudum frames it as a comic take on the Viking-show experience, making it a deliberate change of mood from Vikings: Valhalla. Netflix Tudum’s recommendations.
5. Vinland Saga
If you are open to animation, this anime offers a Viking-age story rather than live-action historical drama. The official Japanese series introduction describes Vikings and a journey toward Vinland. Official Vinland Saga site.

6. Barbarians
Consider this as an adjacent early-medieval historical drama if what interests you is the clash between an expanding power and frontier communities. It is not a Viking series, so approach it as a neighboring historical setting rather than a direct match. Detailed premise and catalog information are not established here.
7. Seven Kings Must Die
This is a feature film associated with The Last Kingdom, not an additional series. It is the natural next choice for viewers who want to continue beyond the show. Current official synopsis and availability information are not established here.
