For the U.S. viewing week of October 4–10, 2026, the clearest new releases are Get Jiro on October 4, Carrie on October 7 and Below on October 8. The other picks arrived just before the week, on October 1 or 2, and are recent additions rather than premieres in this window. Here’s what to watch and where to stream it; release schedules do not guarantee availability in every country, so check your local service listing.
New this week
Get Jiro — HBO Max / Adult Swim, October 4
The week’s most precisely dated pick is the October 4 series premiere of Get Jiro. The schedule lists it on Adult Swim, while HBO Max’s October calendar also lists season one for that day. The available schedule information establishes the release and service, but offers little premise detail; check the service listing for more about the series.
Carrie — Prime Video, October 7
Mike Flanagan’s eight-episode contemporary reimagining of Stephen King’s story arrives as a binge on October 7. Summer H. Howell and Samantha Sloyan star. Its full-season drop makes it an option for viewers who want a horror adaptation they can watch at their own pace.
Below — Netflix, October 8
This six-episode binge follows a mysterious sea creature threatening a remote Newfoundland town. Josh Hartnett, Mackenzie Davis and Charlie Heaton star. It’s the week’s compact horror-thriller choice; confirm the title appears in your local Netflix catalog.

Recent additions worth catching up on
East of Eden — Netflix, arrived October 1
Florence Pugh plays Cathy Ames in this limited-series adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel. The family saga spans generations and centers on Cathy, with the Trask brothers and their family conflict also part of its story. It arrived before the October 4–10 window, so treat it as a recent addition, not a premiere this week.
War — HBO Max, arrived October 1
This legal drama sets two opposing London law firms against each other in a high-profile divorce involving a tech entrepreneur and a movie star. Axios reported that the series had been renewed for a second season before its premiere; that is a status update, not a measure of its quality.

A documentary film to add to the list
The Last First: Winter K2 — Apple TV, arrived October 2
This is a documentary film, not a TV series. It follows a winter K2 summit attempt by Icelandic climber John Snorri Sigurjónsson and Pakistani climbers Ali and Sajid Sadpara, while examining how class, money and power shape extreme climbing.
