If you’re looking for a lighter watch, Apple TV’s comedy catalogue offers seven possibilities with very different kinds of appeal: a sports team, family life, friendship, self-reinvention, romance and an animated musical. “Feel-good” is subjective, and a show’s premise doesn’t guarantee that every episode will feel light. These are mood-based suggestions, not content advisories.
Seven Apple TV+ shows to consider
Apple describes each of these as a comedy, though several mix in other genres. The catalogue is a useful starting point for choosing by premise; it does not establish a ranking or an episode-by-episode measure of tone. Apple TV’s comedy catalogue is the source for the descriptions below.
1. Ted Lasso — sports comedy and team spirit
Apple categorizes Ted Lasso as comedy and sports. It’s the sports-comedy pick on this list, suited to viewers drawn to a team-centered setting. The catalogue does not establish a ranking among these recommendations.
2. Shrinking — comedy about life’s ups and downs
Apple’s description names Jason Segel, Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams as people navigating life’s ups and downs. That makes it a possibility if you want a comedy built around life’s challenges, though the catalogue blurb does not establish that every episode is light in tone.

3. Trying — family-building and adoption
Apple describes Nikki and Jason, a London couple and adoptive parents, facing the complications of family life. Consider it for a relationship-and-family premise rather than a purely escapist setting.
4. Platonic — friendship with mixed edges
Apple’s synopsis frames the show around friends who bring out both the best and worst in each other. That friendship-centered setup may appeal if you want a comedy about the complicated side of a close bond.

5. Loot — self-reinvention
Apple describes a billionaire divorcée on a quest to improve the world and herself. The premise makes Loot a choice for viewers in the mood for a story about personal change and philanthropy; the synopsis does not establish real-world charitable impact.
6. Acapulco — romance and a resort setting
Apple categorizes Acapulco as comedy and romance, and describes it as an 1980s coming-of-age story at a Mexican resort. Choose it for a romantic, resort-set alternative to stories centered on family or work.

7. Central Park — animated musical comedy
In a North American catalogue variant, Apple describes Central Park as an animated, song-filled outing with the Tillerman family. It offers a musical and family-focused option; check your local Apple TV listing, since the catalogue evidence does not establish availability in every territory.
Choose by the kind of comfort you want
- A team setting: Ted Lasso is the sports-comedy option.
- Family and relationships: Try Trying, Shrinking or Central Park, based on whether you prefer adoption and family life, life’s ups and downs, or animation and songs.
- Friendship or reinvention: Platonic centers on friendship; Loot follows a self-improvement premise.
- Romance and escapism: Acapulco pairs romance with a resort setting.
Check the local listing before choosing
These titles appeared in Apple TV comedy catalogue listings, but catalogue presence can change, and the evidence for Central Park came from a North American variant. Check Apple TV in your region for current availability. Apple’s catalogue blurbs are promotional summaries, not episode-level reviews or content advisories; they cannot tell you whether a particular show or episode will suit your mood.
