What to watch from that week
Lord of the Flies: a contained literary adaptation
Netflix released all four episodes of its miniseries adaptation of William Golding’s novel on May 4, making it the week’s compact, bingeable survival-drama option. Its source material and format are noted by Tom’s Guide and TVLine.
Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord: two-part season conclusion
Disney+ released the animated series’ two-episode season finale on May 4. The official Disney+ May calendar describes Maul’s effort to rebuild his criminal syndicate after The Clone Wars. This was the season’s conclusion, not a new-series launch.
