Try these five Starbucks customizations this winter, starting with the Dubai Chocolate-inspired Matcha Latte: Starbucks explicitly tagged that iced build as a winter drink in its 2025 roundup. The other picks include drinks featured in Starbucks’ app secret-menu launch and customer-created combinations. They are ordering ideas—not a guarantee of current availability or permanent menu items.
What “secret menu” means at Starbucks
There is no single permanent Starbucks secret-menu catalog. Some drinks are customizations Starbucks featured in its Rewards app in July 2025; others are combinations created by customers or employees and later highlighted by Starbucks. A viral name alone does not mean a drink is a standard menu item.
For the app-featured drinks, Starbucks said the listed customizations populated the cart for Rewards members at participating locations when the feature launched. The app’s layout may have changed since then. In practice, choose the closest base drink in the current app and add the specified ingredients, or tell the barista the base and modifications. Confirm availability before ordering.

1. Dubai Chocolate-inspired Matcha Latte
Order: Grande iced Matcha Latte with two pumps of Pistachio Sauce and Chocolate Cream Cold Foam.

Starbucks called this a winter-tagged customer customization in its 2025 roundup. The pistachio-and-chocolate combination makes it the clearest seasonal fit among these five, but the winter label and recipe do not confirm that the drink or ingredients are available at your store now.

This was one of the customizations Starbucks featured in its July 2025 app launch. It is a coffee-forward choice with a cookie-like topping; ask for the ingredients by name rather than relying on the nickname.

This is the app-featured build. It is distinct from the Chocolate Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso below: Starbucks published separate recipes, so do not treat the names or ingredient amounts as interchangeable.

Starbucks described the base as a year-round favorite in its 2025 roundup, but that does not guarantee that every store currently has the ingredients. This customer customization adds both white mocha and caramel to the base.

This iced app-featured customization is the tea-forward option on the list: a bright alternative if you want a break from espresso. Starbucks included it among the initial secret-menu customizations in July 2025.

- In the app: Find the closest base drink, select its available customizations, and add the listed ingredients. If a named customization is not displayed, build it from the base rather than assuming the old feature is still present.
- In person: Give the barista the drink base first, then the size and each modification. For example: “A grande iced Matcha Latte with two pumps of Pistachio Sauce and Chocolate Cream Cold Foam.”
- Check the final order: Make sure the size, temperature, base, and add-ins match what you intended before paying. Ingredient availability can differ by store.

Secret-menu customizations versus holiday drinks
A secret-menu customization is a modified order, whether featured in the app or created by customers and employees. An official seasonal drink is part of Starbucks’ announced menu. They are different categories, and a recipe mentioned for one winter should not be read as a promise about the next.
For context, Starbucks’ U.S. holiday announcement dated November 5, 2025 said its menu launched November 6. It listed the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte, and Iced Gingerbread Chai among seasonal favorites, with Eggnog Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte described as later returns that season. Those dates establish the 2025 season only; they do not establish the winter 2026–27 lineup.
If you want a warm seasonal drink rather than an iced customization, Starbucks described the 2025 Peppermint Mocha as espresso with steamed milk, mocha sauce, peppermint syrup, whipped cream, and dark chocolate curls. It was an official holiday drink, not a secret-menu recipe, and the announcement is not evidence of current availability.
