5 Seconds of Summer’s sixth studio album, EVERYONE’S A STAR!, is a 12-track, 36-minute record whose stated palette moves between edgy electronic anthems and moody alt-pop. This review covers the standard edition—not the longer Fully Evolved release—and considers how its themes of loneliness, change and anxiety shape the album’s identity.
What kind of album is EVERYONE’S A STAR!?
Released in 2025, EVERYONE’S A STAR! is 5 Seconds of Summer’s sixth studio album. Apple Music characterizes it as a mix of anxious balladry, edgy anthemic electronics and moody alt-pop, with loneliness and change recurring in its subject matter. That description offers a useful map of the record’s intended contrasts, rather than a substitute for a listener’s own judgment of how well they work.
The songs Apple Music singles out suggest that the album is not committed to one emotional register: “Telephone Busy,” “Ghost” and “Sick of Myself” sit alongside “The Rocks,” “Boyband” and “I’m Scared I’ll Never Sleep Again.” In the standard track listing, the last title appears as “I’m Scared I’ll Never Sleep”; Apple Music’s editorial description adds “Again.” Listings differ, so the exact title depends on which listing is being referenced.
Which edition does this review cover?
This review concerns the standard edition, listed by Apple Music as 12 tracks and 36 minutes. The separate EVERYONE’S A STAR! (Fully Evolved) listing contains 16 songs and runs 49 minutes. The additional four songs make it a distinct expanded edition, not a reason to treat every track associated with the album as part of the standard sequence.

How does the album’s concept come across?
The central tension implied by the title is between public visibility and private unease. Apple Music’s description points to loneliness, change and anxiety, and its examples range from the anxious framing of “I’m Scared I’ll Never Sleep” to the more outward-facing “Boyband.” That contrast gives the album a potentially coherent emotional through-line: pop-sized presentation alongside uncertainty and isolation.
Its stated stylistic range—electronic anthems, balladry and alt-pop—also makes the standard edition sound intentionally varied rather than genre-pure. Whether that variety feels like momentum or unevenness is a matter for listening; the available platform description alone does not establish a track-by-track critical verdict. It is safer to treat the record’s emotional and sonic contrasts as its defining proposition than to claim a consensus about its success.

Universal Music Italia lists CD and 12-inch, 33 rpm vinyl editions with a November 14, 2025 release date. Physical tracklists can differ by edition: the artist store’s Luke member CD listing included the standard 12 songs plus “Start Over,” and described four limited member versions with one member-specific bonus song apiece. Those examples should not be mistaken for one uniform physical tracklist; availability and regional listings can change.
