There is no objective winner between Brock Lesnar’s Kimura Lock and F-5. The Kimura has the stronger case if you value submission storytelling and a finish built around an opponent’s resistance; the F-5 wins on visual impact and its capacity to cap a dominant performance with a pin. WWE lists both among Lesnar’s moves, and its match reports show each ending—or nearly ending—high-profile bouts.
What makes one Lesnar finisher “best”?
That depends on what a finisher should do. For this comparison, the criteria are signature identity, spectacle, match-ending credibility, story and suspense, and versatility within a match. These are editorial criteria, not a ranking established by audience polling or performance statistics. WWE’s Brock Lesnar profile lists both the F-5 and Kimura Lock.
Five reasons the Kimura Lock could be his best finisher
1. It has a documented submission finish
At SummerSlam 2012, Lesnar defeated Triple H with the Kimura Lock. WWE’s report says Triple H had earlier kicked out of an F-5, making the eventual submission a distinct and decisive finish rather than another pin attempt. WWE’s SummerSlam 2012 report documents the result.
2. It makes the ending about resistance and surrender
A pinfall asks whether an opponent can escape before three; a submission asks whether the opponent can withstand the hold or must give in. In the Triple H match, the Kimura ended the contest with a tap-out. That gives the finish a different emotional shape from Lesnar’s pinfall win over John Cena with the F-5 at SummerSlam 2014.

3. It can carry a threat through the match
WWE’s account of the Triple H match describes Lesnar targeting Triple H’s left arm and repeatedly pursuing the hold before securing the submission. That sustained focus lets the Kimura function as more than a sudden final move: the audience can track the danger as the match develops.
4. It fits into a dramatic reversal sequence
At Night of Champions 2014, Cena reversed Lesnar’s F-5 attempt into the STF, and Lesnar reversed the STF into a Kimura Lock. The sequence shows how the hold can emerge from a scramble rather than only from a prolonged arm-targeting story. It was not a Kimura victory: Seth Rollins interfered, and the match ended by disqualification. WWE’s Night of Champions 2014 report records the sequence and result.

5. It reinforces Lesnar’s combat-sport presentation
WWE’s 2012 report notes that Lesnar wore MMA-style gloves before resuming his match with Triple H. In that presentation, the Kimura feels of a piece with a grappling-focused identity. That is a point about wrestling character and staging, not evidence that the scripted hold proves real-world combat effectiveness.
Five reasons the F-5 could be his best finisher
1. It is unmistakably associated with Lesnar
The F-5 is one of the moves WWE lists on Lesnar’s profile. Its case as his signature finisher begins with that direct association: it is a defining part of the moveset WWE presents to viewers.

2. It can deliver a clear, decisive pin
At SummerSlam 2014, Lesnar defeated Cena with a decisive F-5. A pin makes the result immediate and legible: the move leads directly to the three-count. WWE’s SummerSlam 2014 report documents the finish.
3. It can establish danger early, then still leave room for a match
WWE says Lesnar hit an F-5 within roughly 30 seconds of the bell in that Cena match, but Cena kicked out and the contest continued. The early near-fall established the threat without using up the move’s eventual role as the finish.

4. It can cap a sustained display of dominance
WWE’s account of the 2014 match records 16 German suplexes by Lesnar before the decisive F-5. That is a match-specific count reported by WWE, not a career statistic or a measure of finisher success. In the context of that bout, the F-5 served as the closing punctuation after sustained punishment.
5. It can create suspense even when it does not win
The F-5 does not have to end a match to matter. At SummerSlam 2012, Triple H kicked out of Lesnar’s F-5 before later tapping to the Kimura. The near-fall gave the move a role in the match’s suspense, while leaving the final outcome to another finisher.

Which one should you call Lesnar’s best?
Choose the Kimura if your measure is the submission finish, a threat that can shape the match, and a conclusion centered on resistance and surrender. Choose the F-5 if you prize an instantly recognizable spectacle that can turn a dominant performance into a decisive pin. The available match reports establish examples of both; they do not establish a career success-rate comparison or a fan consensus. Neither move’s scripted wrestling use settles which would be more effective in real combat.
