The five profiles also describe ages and channel activity as they stood in 2021 or earlier, so they should be read as historical snapshots.
What the 2021 list is, and what it is not
The article was published by Tech Times on 11 September 2021 under the headline “5 Oldest YouTubers in the World.” It profiles five creators: Peter Oakley, Lill Droniak (“Grandma Lill”), Hamako Mori (“Gamer Grandma”), Clara Cannucciari, and Andrakashari Mastanamma (“Indian Chef Granny”). The piece does not publish a ranking method, so there is no stated basis for calling these five the oldest active YouTubers at any point. Readers should treat the list as an editorial selection of distinct creator types made in 2021.
Three things follow from that. First, the list cannot tell you who is oldest today. Second, several of the creators named have died, according to the article, so the channels may no longer be active. Third, the ages given are tied to specific dates, and most of those dates are years in the past.
The five creators, one by one
Peter Oakley (geriatric1927)
Oakley, an English pensioner, made autobiographical videos about his childhood and his wartime experiences. According to the 2021 article, he created his channel on 5 August 2006, posted his last video on 12 February 2014, and died on 23 March 2014. These dates come from the article itself. They were not independently confirmed when this piece was prepared, so treat them as reported rather than verified.

Lill Droniak (“Grandma Lill”)
Droniak is associated with a family channel run with her grandson, Kevin, under the name Kevin and Lill. The 2021 article described her as 91 at the time of publication and highlighted viral family-comedy videos. The age belongs to September 2021. Her current status is not covered by the article, and no later age should be inferred from it.
Hamako Mori (“Gamer Grandma”)
Mori is the only one of the five with a formal record. Guinness World Records lists her as the “Oldest videogames YouTuber (female).” The entry gives her birth date as 18 February 1930 and records her age at verification as 89 years and 280 days, in Matsudo, Japan, on 25 November 2019. Guinness also says she had been playing video games for more than 38 years. The 2021 article adds that she began uploading in 2015 and makes console unboxings and gameplay videos. That channel detail comes from the article, not from the Guinness entry.

The record is limited to one category, the gaming category, and the age is a figure from a single verification date. It is not an all-YouTube age record and not a current age.
Clara Cannucciari (Great Depression Cooking)
Cannucciari joined YouTube on 7 May 2007 and posted recipes tied to the Great Depression, cooked in a plain home style that doubled as social history. The 2021 article says she died on 29 November 2013 at age 98. Those details are reported by the article and were not separately verified for this piece.

Andrakashari Mastanamma (“Indian Chef Granny”)
Mastanamma is identified in the article as the cook behind the Country Foods channel. Her videos show traditional home cooking, often outdoors. The article reports that she died on 5 December 2018 at age 107. The age is a reported figure. The available sources do not independently confirm her exact age, so it is best cited as “reported age 107.”

How to read the ages and dates
When you see any of these ages, check three things before repeating them. Which date the figure belongs to: most are 2019 or 2021 values. Who made the measurement: Guinness verified Mori’s age in a formal process, while the other figures come from a single editorial article. Whether the claim recurs: a birth date stays fixed, but “age 91” or “began uploading” does not automatically carry forward.
Checking whether a creator is still active
To see whether one of these channels is still posting, open the channel page on YouTube and check the date of the most recent upload, which appears in the Videos tab. A channel’s About section may also state when it was created. Because the article is from 2021, a channel’s status today can only be confirmed on the platform itself. If a channel shows no uploads after the dates above, that matches the article’s account of the creator’s activity or death, but it is still worth checking the newest upload directly.

The articles and records cited here do not establish subscriber counts, view totals or any other audience figures for these channels. Any such number you find elsewhere should be checked against a dated source before it is repeated.
Taken together, the five profiles are useful as a snapshot of how older creators built audiences around very different formats: autobiography, family comedy, gaming, historical cooking and traditional outdoor cooking. They are not a ranking, and the dates attached to them should travel with them whenever they are quoted.
