Does the original “11 best movies” headline check out?
Not against the cited schedule. Netflix’s October overview highlights numerous other departing films, including Out of Africa, The Vow, Apollo 13, A League of Their Own, Fargo, and Nomadland, but its overview does not establish that they leave during October 12–18. Without each film’s date, an 11-movie list for “next week” would be unsupported. Nor do the schedules provide critic scores, audience data, or another basis for calling a set of titles the objectively best movies.

No such conclusion follows from the cited schedule: Netflix Tudum labels its October departures as US departures, and availability can vary by country. What’s on Netflix also cautions that licensing changes can move or extend scheduled removals. Check the title in your local Netflix app close to the date before relying on the schedule.
