India Today reports that Applause Entertainment produced the series with BBC Studios India and that Vishal Furia directed it. The outlet describes 36 Days as an official Indian adaptation of the UK show 35 Days, originally produced by Boom Cymru for S4C and distributed by ITV Studios. The trailer report establishes that adaptation lineage, but does not provide enough evidence to compare plot details or changes between the two versions. India Today’s trailer report contains the reported cast and production details.

The official note reproduced by India Today puts the show’s central question this way: “There are always 3 sides to every story – your side, my side and the truth. But what if the truth is hidden behind a wall of secrets?” It is presented as promotional copy, not as a quotation from a named speaker.
