TechRadar’s September 1, 2024, Freevee list named three films, but only two were reported above 80% on Rotten Tomatoes: Words on Bathroom Walls at 89% and Super 8 at 81%. The Grey was listed at exactly 80%. These are historical recommendations, not confirmation that any of the films are free to stream now.

Which one fits your mood?
- For a character-focused drama: Choose Words on Bathroom Walls for a coming-of-age story centered on romance, ambition, and living with a diagnosis.
- For science fiction and adventure: Super 8 pairs a group of young filmmakers with a mysterious crash and an alien encounter.
- For a harsher survival story: The Grey is the R-rated choice, with a wilderness trek following a plane crash.
What the scores and Freevee listing do—and do not—tell you
The 89%, 81%, and 80% figures are the ratings TechRadar reported in its September 2024 feature; they should not be read as verified current Rotten Tomatoes scores. On that historical snapshot, Words on Bathroom Walls and Super 8 meet a strict “over 80%” threshold. The Grey does not.
The Freevee recommendations also describe a September 2024 lineup, not present-day availability. Amazon’s later description of Prime Video’s free ad-supported programming covers a broader service that also includes rent-or-buy titles, including for customers without Prime membership. Its March 2026 programming announcement lists Super 8 (2011), but a listing does not establish that it was free with ads then—or that any of these films is free to watch now. Check the title’s current listing and playback terms in Prime Video before choosing a film.
