The Academy says all active members are eligible to select Best Picture nominees. Members of relevant branches select nominees in most other categories, while active members must view all nominated films to be eligible to vote in the final round. Frankenstein
The Academy recognized Frankenstein with wins for costume design and production design, in addition to its Best Picture nomination. Those craft awards are meaningful recognition, but they do not establish a Best Picture finish beyond the official winner.

Hamnet received a Best Picture nomination and won actress in a leading role. It also has confirmed 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions: Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced their release for March 3, 2026, in its February 2, 2026 announcement.
