The available evidence does not verify the 17 couples promised by this title. A search result attributes an article with the exact title to TheRichest on April 28, 2018, but it does not show the names or the sources behind them. Without the original list and reliable corroboration for each relationship, publishing a roster as fact would be misleading.
What the available record establishes
An IDCrawl search result attributes “17 Athletes Who Have Actually Dated Cheerleaders” to TheRichest and gives the date April 28, 2018. That attribution has not been checked against the original article page. The result does not reveal the 17 entries or provide evidence for them.
That distinction matters: a search result pointing to an article is not proof that the couples named in it had relationships. To verify a list like this, each entry needs credible reporting or a direct statement, with enough context to establish who the people are and the nature of the relationship.
Why the Tony Romo claim should not be treated as confirmed
A separate, low-quality search result asserts that former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo dated Jessica Lavery, described there as a former cheerleader. It offers no reliable supporting citation. On the evidence available here, that remains an unverified claim—not a confirmed couple suitable for a factual list.

What a verified list would need
Each entry should identify the athlete, the cheerleader and her team or role, and the relationship timeframe when credible sources establish it. Direct statements or reputable contemporaneous reporting can support an entry; repetition of an unsupported claim cannot. The original article’s list and sources are not available in the material that can be checked here, so the other names cannot responsibly be supplied.
