Why this is a selected list
Published memorial roundups do not use one shared definition of “professional wrestler.” Some include announcers and other wrestling personalities; others concentrate on performers or on names they consider well-known. Online World of Wrestling’s annual reference lists 52 remembered people in its 2020 section, but that is not a verified count of wrestlers alone. This article selects 15 recognizable names across different eras and wrestling scenes rather than claiming to catalog every death.
