Dates and services reflect the cited 2025 schedules, not a guarantee of present-day availability. The two dates shown for Oh. What. Fun. reflect a discrepancy between the contemporaneous guide and Amazon’s December listing.
What was scheduled for December 2025, by date
December 2 or 3: Oh. What. Fun.
Michelle Pfeiffer plays Claire Clauster, a holiday-organizing mother who heads out on her own after her family forgets her. Michael Showalter directed, and Chandler Baker co-wrote the film. Tom’s Guide listed it for Prime Video on December 3, while Amazon’s official December releases page placed it under December 2. That one-day difference means the schedule should not be treated as a single worldwide date.
December 4: The Abandons
This Netflix western drama is set in 1850s Washington Territory and follows rival matriarchs played by Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey. It is the pick here for viewers looking for a new period drama rather than a returning franchise.

- In 1980s Indiana a group of friends witness supernatural forces and government exploits. In searching for answers, they unravel a series of mysteries.
December 5: Jay Kelly
Noah Baumbach’s Netflix dramedy pairs George Clooney as a movie star with Adam Sandler as his manager on a reflective trip through Europe. Its focus on a star and the person who manages his career gives the lineup a character-driven alternative to fantasy and genre series.
December 10: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, season 2
The Disney+ season follows the Sea of Monsters storyline. After Camp Half-Blood’s protective borders fail and Grover goes missing, Percy sets out to find the Golden Fleece.

December 12: Taylor Swift’s tour releases
Disney+ scheduled two related releases for the same day. Taylor Swift: The End of an Era is a six-part behind-the-scenes docuseries; The Eras Tour: The Final Show is a filmed Vancouver concert that, according to Tom’s Guide, includes the later-added Tortured Poets Department set. Choose the series for tour context and the concert film for the performance.
December 12: Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
In Netflix’s third Benoit Blanc mystery, the detective investigates a murder in a church community. Netflix’s official announcement confirmed the film’s global premiere date as December 12, 2025.
