1000-Lb. Sisters Season 7 turns a September 2024 incident at a Tennessee petting zoo into a two-episode storyline. The trailer features Amy Slaton reacting to the reported camel bite and arrest; episode descriptions place the incident in Episode 3 and its aftermath in Episode 4. The real-world case had a later reported resolution: Slaton and Brian Scott Lovvorn pleaded guilty to drug charges, while child-neglect charges were dismissed under the plea deal, according to Action News 5.
What the Season 7 trailer shows
Parade’s March 25, 2025, Season 7 coverage says the trailer includes the camel bite and arrest. It quotes Slaton joking about the animal: “They should be handcuffing the damn camel.” That line is her reaction as reported by Parade, not an official account of the incident. Parade’s trailer coverage also discusses the season’s premiere and storyline.

The trailer is edited entertainment footage, so it should not be treated as independent confirmation of every detail surrounding the arrest. For those details, contemporaneous local reporting and later court-disposition reporting provide separate accounts.
What happened at Tennessee Safari Park
On September 2, 2024, deputies in Crockett County, Tennessee, responded to Tennessee Safari Park after a report that a camel had bitten Slaton. WHIO, citing the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department, reported that deputies then noticed suspicious odors from the vehicle. The reported sequence is a response to a bite call followed by observations at the vehicle; the bite itself should not be described as having caused the arrest. WHIO’s account of the arrest describes the initial allegations.

Slaton and Lovvorn were arrested on drug-possession and child-endangerment charges. Those were allegations at the time of arrest, not findings of guilt. The sheriff’s department account quoted by WHIO said deputies “were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors” from the car. That description does not establish what caused the odor or, by itself, prove an offense.
How the criminal case was reported to end
Action News 5 reported on December 19, 2024, that Slaton and Lovvorn pleaded guilty to drug charges and received two years of supervised probation. The station reported that child-neglect charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal. This is a secondary news report of the disposition; it is not a direct review of the court docket. Action News 5’s report on the plea deal gives its account of the outcome.

Disney+ currently lists nine Season 7 episodes and connects the petting-zoo event to two consecutive installments:
- Episode 3, “Chewy Ca(ra)mel”: The description presents a harrowing petting-zoo moment as an event that changes Amy’s life.
- Episode 4, “The Big Camel in the Room”: The description explicitly refers to the camel bite and arrest.
- Episodes 6 and 7: The catalogue descriptions concern court, continuing the legal storyline.
These are platform episode descriptions, distinct from Parade’s reporting on the trailer and from WHIO’s reporting on the arrest. Disney+’s Season 7 listing provides the current episode titles and synopses.
Season 7 timing and where to look for episodes
Season 7 premiered in 2025; Parade’s March 25, 2025, coverage discusses its premiere. A separate Warner Bros. Discovery announcement indexed for December 2, 2025, concerned a later season scheduled to return January 6, 2026—not Season 7’s premiere. The TLC series page currently highlights later-season material, while Disney+ lists Season 7. Catalogue availability can change and may vary by region, so check the platform listing for your location. TLC’s official series page offers clips and full episodes, with its current display reflecting later seasons.
