Who was in the Gimmick Battle Royal?
WWE’s official results present a larger field than the ten performers covered here. The listed names and acts are The Iron Sheik, Brother Love, Bushwhackers, Jim Cornette, Doink, Duke “The Dumpster” Droese, Earthquake, Gobbledy Gooker, Goon, Michael Hayes, Hillbilly Jim, Kamala, Kim Chee, One Man Gang, Repo Man, Sergeant Slaughter, Tugboat and Nikolai Volkoff. WWE lists “Bushwhackers” as a plural entry and identifies “Goon” as an entrant; the results do not establish a more precise participant count for those labels.
Where are 10 selected participants now?
The available verified updates are uneven: WWE’s profiles establish some career milestones, but not a current 2026 activity report for every performer. The sections below distinguish documented milestones from what cannot be established from those profiles.

Hillbilly Jim
WWE says Hillbilly Jim was a crowd favorite who competed regularly for the company until summer 1990, later managed Henry and Phineas Godwinn, appeared in the WrestleMania X-Seven Battle Royal and featured on Legends’ House. WWE records his Hall of Fame induction in 2018 and names the bear hug as his signature move. Its Hillbilly Jim profile does not establish his activities in 2026. His official site promotes Hillbilly Jim: The Incredible Story of a Wrestling Superstar and says it is available on Amazon; check the listing for the relevant edition and current regional availability before buying.
The Bushwhackers: Butch and Luke
WWE identifies the Bushwhackers as Butch and Luke, notes their surprise return in this Battle Royal, and records their induction into the Hall of Fame in 2015. WWE links to a report that Butch passed away. The team profile does not establish Luke’s present-day activities, so it is not a complete current update on both members.
