As of October 8, 2026, the top 10 on JustWatch’s U.S. TV streaming chart are drawing the most activity from its users—not necessarily the most viewing minutes. The chart lists East of Eden on Netflix, Lanterns and War on HBO Max, Ted Lasso and Slow Horses on Apple TV, and American Horror Story on Hulu, alongside titles on Paramount+ and Prime Video.
What are the biggest TV shows on Apple TV, HBO Max, Hulu and more right now?
This is the top 10 in JustWatch’s U.S. TV streaming chart, updated at 09:11 UTC on October 8, 2026. JustWatch calculates its charts from user activity over the previous 24 hours, seven days or 30 days. The signals include clicks on streaming offers, adding a title to a watchlist and marking it as seen. The list below is therefore a snapshot of interest on JustWatch, not a direct ranking of audience size or minutes watched. See the JustWatch U.S. TV chart and methodology.
- East of Eden — Netflix
- Lanterns — HBO Max
- Ted Lasso — Apple TV
- War — HBO Max
- Slow Horses — Apple TV
- American Horror Story — Hulu
- MobLand — Paramount+
- Carrie — Prime Video
- Lioness — Paramount+
- South Park — Paramount+
JustWatch says its charts draw on activity from more than 50 million movie and TV fans monthly, cover 140 countries and 4,500 streaming services, and update daily. Those figures describe the chart’s stated reach; they do not make its activity signals equivalent to a census of viewing.
Why a most-watched list looks different
Nielsen’s U.S. streaming chart measures total minutes viewed by people aged 2 and older. Its latest displayed week in the supplied data is September 14–20, 2026—a dated viewing period rather than a daily snapshot. Nielsen’s overall top 10 for that week were:
#1 Best Overall
- Ultra-speedy streaming: Roku Ultra is 30% faster than any other Roku player, delivering a lightning-fast interface and apps that launch in a snap.
- Cinematic streaming: This TV streaming device brings the movie theater to your living room with spectacular 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision picture alongside immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
- The ultimate Roku remote: The rechargeable Roku Voice Remote Pro offers backlit buttons, hands-free voice controls, and a lost remote finder.
- No more fumbling in the dark: See what you’re pressing with backlit buttons.
- Say goodbye to batteries: Keep your remote powered for months on a single charge.
| Rank | Title | Minutes viewed |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Neagley | 1,776 million |
| 2 | Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story | 1,481 million |
| 3 | Reacher | 1,420 million |
| 4 | The Big Bang Theory | 950 million |
| 5 | Lioness | 897 million |
| 6 | Ted Lasso | 767 million |
| 7 | Major Crimes | 743 million |
| 8 | Bluey | 739 million |
| 9 | SpongeBob SquarePants | 692 million |
| 10 | Grey’s Anatomy | 636 million |
In that Nielsen week, Ted Lasso ranked sixth overall with 767 million minutes viewed. Its third place in JustWatch’s October 8 chart reflects a different measure and a later snapshot. The positions should not be combined into one league table. View Nielsen’s U.S. streaming rankings.
How acquired titles rank in Nielsen’s chart
Nielsen also publishes an acquired-title chart for September 14–20. Its positions are a subgroup ranking, not a second overall top 10. Lanterns ranked seventh in that category, with 534 million minutes viewed.

Nielsen says its listed platform providers have program-level data in specific systems, while the viewing data include streaming viewing beyond those listed providers. The chart remains a U.S. measure for the stated week; it is not the same kind of cross-service activity snapshot as JustWatch’s.
What Netflix’s viewing figures add—and what they don’t
Netflix’s first-half 2026 engagement report offers another kind of evidence: platform-reported viewing across Netflix, not a comparison with other streaming services. Netflix reported more than 97 billion hours watched on its service during the half. It named His & Hers its most-watched show for that period, with 104 million views. Bridgerton Season 4 had 100 million views; the franchise’s seasons together generated 180 million views in the half. Netflix also said non-English titles represented more than one third of viewing on Netflix during that period. Read Netflix’s first-half 2026 engagement report.

- Watch live TV and access over 800 free channels from Pluto TV, Tubi, and more[3]; if you find an interesting show or movie on your TV, mobile app, or Google search, you can easily add it to your watchlist, so it’s ready when you are[2]
- Up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision delivers captivating, true-to-life detail[4]; and you can connect speakers that support Dolby Atmos for more immersive 3D sound
These figures describe Netflix’s own service and reporting period. They do not establish how Netflix titles rank against shows on Apple TV, HBO Max, Hulu, Paramount+ or Prime Video on a shared viewing scale.
