Ten notable anime returned in 2025 with new seasons, a final season, or a continuing story arc. This editorial selection considers sequel significance, genre variety, and how clearly each return was dated; it is not an objective or universally agreed ranking. The dates below refer to Japanese broadcast windows unless a streaming premiere is explicitly identified. The available confirmed details support only a partial list, so the remaining entries are marked accordingly rather than assigned unsupported titles or dates.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why there are fewer than ten verified entries here
The available title-specific information confirms four examples, not a sourced top ten. It notes that Crunchyroll’s Summer 2025 coverage included returning series, but does not establish which titles or their dates. Naming six additional anime—or assigning them release windows—would go beyond the verified details available here. A complete list should be checked against each title’s official or broadcaster announcement rather than inferred from a seasonal roundup.

How to read the dates and check streaming availability
- Japanese broadcast is the consistent date basis. A Japanese TV start date is not necessarily the day an episode becomes available in another country.
- Windows are not exact dates. “July 2025” and “Spring 2025” do not establish a calendar day.
- Streaming varies by title and territory. Confirm a platform’s current local listing before relying on it; the Japanese platforms named in the Hanako-kun announcement are not an international availability guide.
