A separate Rotten Tomatoes reader vote did publish a June list, with The Bear season 3 in first place. These are different measures, so the reader-vote results and later viewing figures should not be presented as the missing Diesel Labs top ten.
What “according to real data” meant
ScreenRant’s May 25, 2024 article described a predictive analysis by media analytics company Diesel Labs. It used online engagement before June premieres to estimate audience anticipation, calling its measure a “hype score.” The indexed copy says the signals included likes, shares, comments, and views across social and video channels. IMDb News’ indexed copy of the ScreenRant article identifies the data partner and broad approach.
This is an engagement-based anticipation measure, not a count of eventual viewers, a quality rating, or a retrospective popularity ranking. The indexed article does not expose the full title list or scores. It also does not specify the complete platform list, observation dates, weighting formula, geography, or sampling method. Those gaps make it impossible to reproduce or responsibly infer the ten places.
The verifiable June 2024 reader-vote results
Rotten Tomatoes published a separate feature on June 3, 2024, asking readers to vote for the show they were most looking forward to. Its five results were:

| Place | Show | June 2024 premiere | What the source establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Bear season 3 | June 27, Hulu | Top result in Rotten Tomatoes’ reader vote |
| 2 | The Boys season 4 | June 13, Prime Video | Second result in the reader vote |
| 3 | House of the Dragon season 2 | June 16, HBO | Third result in the reader vote |
| 4 | Star Wars: The Acolyte season 1 | June 4, Disney+ | Fourth result in the reader vote |
| 5 | Hotel Cocaine season 1 | June 16, MGM+ | Fifth result in the reader vote |
Rotten Tomatoes’ June anticipation feature calls this a vote, not an analytics ranking. It is useful as a contemporaneous snapshot of participating readers’ preferences, but it cannot fill in ScreenRant’s missing ten titles or Diesel Labs scores. The five entries also include returning seasons as well as a new series; “new” in this context should not be taken to mean every entry was a first-season show.
Two of the listed series, in brief
Rotten Tomatoes describes Star Wars: The Acolyte as a murder investigation set in the High Republic era, roughly a century before Anakin Skywalker’s lifetime. It describes Hotel Cocaine as a fictionalized portrait of Miami’s Mutiny Hotel and the city’s late-1970s and early-1980s cocaine scene. These descriptions explain the premise, not the shows’ audience ranking beyond their respective positions in the reader vote.

Why later viewing numbers are not anticipation scores
Nielsen’s Gauge report measured streaming at 40.3% of total U.S. television usage during June 2024. The measurement interval ran from May 27 through June 30, 2024. Nielsen also reported that The Boys season 4 helped drive 4 billion viewing minutes that month, while House of the Dragon generated 3.4 billion viewing minutes on Max. These figures are post-premiere viewing measures, not predictions made before the shows aired. Nielsen’s June 2024 Gauge report provides the period and figures.
The totals therefore cannot confirm, replace, or be directly compared with Diesel Labs’ pre-release hype scores. They answer a different question: how much viewing Nielsen measured during its June interval, rather than which upcoming shows drew the most online engagement beforehand.

How to interpret “most anticipated” rankings
Rankings that use “anticipation,” “hype,” “demand,” or “viewing” may sound interchangeable while measuring different behavior. For a meaningful comparison, check what was counted, when it was counted, which audience and geography were covered, whether scores and methods are published, and whether the list mixes new series with returning seasons.
Parrot Analytics describes a separate audience-demand product that compares cross-platform TV-series demand across markets and supports pre-release benchmarking. Its stated scope differs from the Diesel Labs engagement signals reported by ScreenRant, so its results should not be treated as equivalent or used to reconstruct the missing scores. Parrot Analytics’ overview of its audience-demand insights describes that distinct approach.

- The ScreenRant article was described as a Diesel Labs online-engagement analysis published before the June premieres.

- Rotten Tomatoes independently published a five-show reader vote, led by The Bear season 3.
- Nielsen’s June figures describe viewing after premieres, not pre-release anticipation.
