It became a TikTok lip-sync and cover moment later that month, with contemporary coverage describing its bright, bubblegum-like pop sound and deliberately outrageous counting-list hook. The report called the track “seemingly AI-assisted,” but the available artist and streaming listings do not confirm that production claim.
Who sings “10 Drunk Cigarettes”?
The song is credited to Girly Girl Productions, which Apple Music also identifies as its composer. It appears on DEMURE, with an August 13, 2024 release date in Apple Music’s listing. Spotify also lists the act and track on its artist page.
What is the song about?
The hook is built as a list: the narrator names ten things “us girls need” before needing a man. As summarized in contemporary coverage, the items swing between party and drug references and everyday choices such as food and fashion. The song then flips the premise, listing things the narrator does not need from a man before making clear that money would be welcome. The deliberately absurd inventory, rather than a detailed narrative, is the song’s main joke and organizing device.
The full lyrics are not needed to understand the bit: it plays up excess through the escalating list, then uses the title phrase as part of the hook. Its references to drugs and cigarettes are part of the song’s provocative persona, not advice or a guide.

Why did it catch on on TikTok?
A Mashable report republished by Creative Collaboration on August 25, 2024 described TikTok users sharing the track in lip-syncs and covers. Some videos had accumulated hundreds of thousands of views, with one reaching about a million, according to that report. Those are dated observations about individual videos—not a current count of sound uses, a platform-wide ranking, or evidence that the song is trending now. The list format gives creators a ready-made structure to perform, while its exaggerated contrast between sweet pop presentation and raunchy lyrics supplies the punchline. The August 25 report also situates the song alongside viral tracks that use list-like hooks and notes the act’s similarly over-the-top bubblegum aesthetic.
Is “10 Drunk Cigarettes” an AI song?
That has not been established by the platform listings reviewed here. The August 25, 2024 report described the song as “seemingly AI-assisted,” but that is the report’s characterization, not a verified production credit or a statement from the artist. Apple Music credits Girly Girl Productions as composer, and Spotify lists the act and track; neither listing confirms whether AI was used or how much it contributed. There is no named creator statement about the production in the cited coverage.
