1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWWE and AEW differ most clearly in their corporate structures, publicly presented leadership, U.S. TV and streaming arrangements, and brand portfolios. In the U.S., AEW lists Dynamite on TBS and Max and Collision on TNT and Max; WWE’s announced arrangements split premium live events and its library between ESPN and Netflix. Other frequently claimed differences—such as which company has more viewers, a larger roster, or better wrestling—cannot be established by the available comparable figures.
1. WWE is part of TKO; AEW describes itself as a separate wrestling company
WWE is part of TKO Group Holdings, according to WWE’s corporate profile. AEW’s About page says the company was founded in 2019 and identifies Tony Khan in its top leadership roles.
That establishes a difference in how the two companies are publicly described, but it is not a complete ownership comparison: AEW’s profile does not lay out its full capital structure. It would be inaccurate to infer more about AEW’s ownership from that page alone.
2. Their public leadership structures are presented differently
WWE’s corporate profile lists a Chief Content Officer alongside other company departments and executive roles. AEW’s profile groups the titles of CEO, General Manager, and Head of Creative under Tony Khan. These are the organizations’ stated roles, not proof that any one executive personally makes every business or creative decision.

3. AEW names two regular weekly shows; the cited WWE information highlights NXT
AEW’s U.S. schedule identifies two weekly television programs: Dynamite on Wednesdays and Collision on Saturdays, each listed for a two-hour, 8–10 p.m. ET slot. WWE’s cited announcements establish weekly Tuesday programming for NXT, but do not provide a complete schedule for every WWE show. The available information therefore supports a comparison of named programs, not a full count of each company’s weekly hours.
4. Their U.S. weekly shows have different network and streaming homes
AEW lists Dynamite on TBS with a Max simulcast, and Collision on TNT with a Max simulcast. Warner Bros. Discovery describes its AEW agreement as a multi-year, multi-platform rights renewal; neither the schedule nor that announcement establishes the deal’s financial value. Details are U.S.-specific.

For WWE, the cited information identifies NXT as weekly Tuesday programming on The CW. It does not establish a single U.S. platform arrangement covering all WWE weekly programming, so the AEW and WWE listings should not be treated as exhaustive, equivalent schedules.
5. WWE’s U.S. premium live event rights are assigned separately
WWE and ESPN announced that ESPN platforms would become the exclusive U.S. domestic home of WWE premium live events starting in 2026. That is a rights arrangement for a specific content category, not a statement that ESPN carries all WWE programming. The announcement is available from WWE and ESPN.

The cited sources do not provide a like-for-like account of AEW’s major-event distribution, so this point describes WWE’s announced U.S. arrangement rather than claiming a complete head-to-head difference in event access.
6. WWE’s library and live events have different announced U.S. destinations
In January 2026, WWE and Netflix announced that Netflix would become the home of WWE’s library in the U.S., following Raw’s January 2025 Netflix launch. The library announcement concerns an on-demand archive; it is separate from the ESPN arrangement for premium live events. See WWE and Netflix’s announcement.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
That split matters when looking for WWE content: a library destination and a live-event destination are not interchangeable. The announcement is U.S.-specific, and the cited sources do not establish an equivalent AEW library arrangement for comparison.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.7. WWE has a distinct NXT brand and a CW agreement for its events
NXT gives WWE a separately named weekly brand in addition to the programs identified in its corporate materials. WWE and The CW announced that NXT premium live events would also move to The CW. This adds another facet to WWE’s brand and distribution portfolio, but the cited sources do not quantify developmental depth or establish a directly comparable AEW brand structure. The announcement is at WWE and The CW.

8. AEW states a live-event figure, but it is not a WWE comparison
AEW says it presents “more than 100 live events a year around the world” on its About page. That is AEW’s own stated figure, not an independently audited count. The available sources do not provide a comparable current WWE total, so it cannot show which company runs more live events.
9. Their official brand descriptions emphasize different things
WWE’s corporate profile describes its television programming as TV-PG and points to distribution through multiple partners. AEW’s About page describes a fan-partnership mission and says it aims to provide wrestling matches and entertainment. These are company-authored descriptions of positioning, not independent evidence that one product is more family-oriented, inclusive, or focused on matches.
10. A definitive in-ring or creative ranking is not established
Claims that WWE is categorically more story-driven or that AEW is categorically more wrestling-focused are judgments, not verifiable conclusions from the cited corporate and rights information. Match layouts, pacing, presentation, and storytelling can vary by show and episode. A fair comparison would need specific examples and a clearly stated basis for judging them; a blanket ranking would overstate what these sources establish.
What the differences mean for viewers
The clearest practical distinctions are who operates each company, how their publicly stated leadership roles are presented, and where U.S. viewers can find particular kinds of programming. AEW’s listed weekly shows are split between TBS and TNT, with Max simulcasts. WWE’s announced U.S. arrangements distinguish premium live events on ESPN platforms from its library on Netflix, while NXT has a weekly CW slot and an announced CW home for its premium live events. Those categories do not, by themselves, settle comparisons of audience size, revenue, roster size, or creative quality.
