Because June 4, 2025, has passed, tickets for that event are not a current option. Anyone looking for a screening now should check the listing of a local theater rather than rely on old posts.
How the June report differs from the later re-release listing
Fandango and Cinemark list a separate Wicked Re-Release for November 14, 2025. Fandango gives that listing a runtime of 2 hours 40 minutes. These listings document a later re-release; they do not confirm a June 4 screening or its supposed special content.

Why “One Short Day” is a fitting name
“One Short Day” is the song accompanying Elphaba and Glinda’s visit to the Emerald City. Composer Stephen Schwartz told TIME that he and Winnie Holzman imagined the visit like a tourist guide to the city. He said, “Winnie and I had this idea that when the girls go to Oz, it would be like one of those tourist books.” He also described writing the song to bring levity and fun into the musical. The film expands the Emerald City sequence, adding material about the Grimmerie and the Wizard’s propaganda. That context makes the song more than a sightseeing interlude: the city’s spectacle sits alongside the story’s questions about power and persuasion.
