The available issue-level evidence does not support a definitive list of Avengers who have wielded Thanos’s original Infinity Gauntlet in Marvel comics. In the original Infinity Gauntlet story, Nebula takes it from Thanos, but that fact alone does not establish an Avenger as its user. Later claims about Avengers handling a Gauntlet need to be checked against the specific issue, continuity and object.
What counts as using Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet?
This question is narrower than asking which Avengers have encountered the Infinity Stones or appeared in a story about the Gauntlet. Here, “Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet” means the original object associated with him, and “used” means wielding or activating that object. Briefly touching a Stone, fighting its owner, or holding a replica does not qualify.
Continuity matters, too. An alternate-universe Gauntlet or a different device should not be counted as the original without evidence that identifies it. A reliable entry in a roster would need to establish the character’s Avengers status, the comic and issue, the continuity, the Gauntlet’s identity, and whether it was complete or had only some Stones installed.
What the original Infinity Gauntlet story establishes
Marvel’s official page for Infinity Gauntlet #5 describes the Gauntlet being taken from Thanos but does not name the person who takes it in the surfaced description. The Grand Comics Database identifies that person as Nebula. This supports Nebula as the taker in the original story; it does not establish her as an Avenger or answer which Avengers later used the object.

Marvel’s Thanos profile discusses the Gauntlet’s place in his history and later events involving the Avengers and the Infinity Gems. That broader context should not be mistaken for an issue-by-issue record of Avengers wielding Thanos’s original Gauntlet.
Does Captain America count?
A secondary result claims that Captain America held a version of the Gauntlet in Avengers vol. 8 #22 (2019). The available evidence does not establish whether that device is Thanos’s original Gauntlet, whether it contained all the Stones, or whether the scene meets the stricter standard of wielding or activating the original object. It is therefore not enough to confirm Captain America as an entry in a definitive roster.

Where to read the related comics
Marvel’s Avengers & the Infinity Gauntlet trade paperback, published February 16, 2011, collects the four-issue Avengers & the Infinity Gauntlet series and the first issue of the original six-issue Infinity Gauntlet series. It is related reading, not a complete collection of the original saga. Marvel’s Infinity Trilogy reading list places the 1991 series in the wider cosmic storyline.
When checking a candidate, consult the actual issue rather than relying on a collection’s title or a general summary. Confirm who holds the object in the panels, whether it is identified as Thanos’s original Gauntlet, and what Stones are installed. This prevents a story featuring the Avengers and the Gauntlet from being misreported as proof that a particular Avenger used it.
